Frogs that Rode a Snake: Once upon a time, there was an old snake who couldn’t catch his own food anymore. Feeling hungry, he came up with a tricky plan. He slithered to a lake where many frogs lived and pretended to be very sad.

A curious frog approached the snake and asked, “Why are you so sad?” The snake sighed and told a made-up story. He claimed that he had bitten a boy and, as a punishment, was cursed to carry frogs on his back. The snake promised to take the frogs anywhere they wanted to go.

The frog was excited and quickly spread the news to the other frogs, including their king. Everyone was happy about the snake’s offer, and they thought it would be a fun adventure.

The next day, the snake started the joy ride, carrying the frogs on his back. The frogs were thrilled and enjoyed the ride around the lake. They were delighted with the snake’s supposed punishment turning into a helpful service.

However, the snake was acting. The next day, he crawled very slowly, making it seem like he was weak and hungry. When the frogs asked what was wrong, the snake said he hadn’t eaten anything. The frog king, being kind, offered a few younger frogs to the snake.

As the snake ate the younger frogs, he became stronger. Unfortunately, the frogs soon realized the snake’s true intention. It was a clever plan to gain their trust and then eat them up. The snake, now full and satisfied, had betrayed the trust of the frogs.

The moral of the story is to be cautious and not trust someone just because they seem sad or promise something that sounds too good to be true. It’s essential to look beyond appearances and be wise about whom we trust.
